Meeting Dates for 2016 - WTCMTGDATES2016

At the Annual Meeting of the Town Council held on Monday 18th May 2015, the Town Council decided to re-instate committees.  The Planning Committee will meet on the first Monday of each month.  Open Spaces Committee will meet on the first Tuesday of each month.  Finance and General Purposes Committee will meet on the first Wednesday of each month.  There will only be one Full Council Meeting per month and this will be held on the fourth Monday of each month.

All Council meetings are held in the Town Hall (unless otherwise advertised).

All meetings start at 7.00pm (unless otherwise advertised).  All meetings are open to members of the public - twenty minutes is allocated for the receiving and aswering of questions from members of the public (1)

Members are reminded that the Council has a general duty to consider the following matters in the exercise of any of its functions: Equal Opportunities (race, gender, sexual orientation, marital status, age and any disability), Crime & Disorder, Health & Safety and Human Rights

(1) In accordance with LGA 1972 ss9(1) and 27(1) in a parish or community every elector may exercise direct authority by seaking and voting at electors' meeting. In addition, where he or she, or is represented upon, a local council, he may vote in elections of local councillors.  No one is entitiled to exercise either of these rights unless his name appears in the appropriate electoral register (Representation of the People's Act 1983, s2) but a properly qualified person has an enforceable right to have his name placed upon the register if it has been wrongly omitted therefrom (Representation of the People's Act 1983, s4)
